Dr. Parhiscar
My name is Afshin Parhiscar. I’m a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has dedicated many years of my life to mastering the art of Plastic Surgery. It is a privilege and a pleasure to be able to share the experience of transforming a physical aspect of your body to help improve your quality of life. I strive to hear your concerns, assess your goals and aim to provide a safe and optimal surgical outcome with you.
My education is rooted in hard basic science. I studied Biochemistry, developing a deep understanding of the human body and how it functions. I gained a foundation that allowed me to better understand it’s incredible working dynamics. Once I began medical school, I soon learned that what I loved, as much as the science of medicine, was the practice of medicine. Taking care of patients and sharing in their experiences has allowed me to live a fuller and more meaningful life. By the time I completed medical school, I decided I wanted to become a Head and Neck Surgeon. The head and neck had always been the most incredibly complex and interesting anatomy and pathology for me.
My residency training opened an entirely new aspect of medicine for me. I have always liked working with my hands and enjoy unraveling structures, understanding their mysteries and putting them back together. The fundamental skill sets I acquired as a surgical resident allowed me to appreciate the structure and function of the human body. What I learned about myself, is I strive and grow when I’m allowed to imagine and create. I decided to expand my horizons by studying the discipline of plastic surgery. As I learned more about plastic surgery, I fell deeper in love with the profession that would allow me to use my basic science knowledge, my compassion for people, my technical skills and the creative freedom to imagine and form the optimal surgical outcome for a physical attribute.

Anu Verma, RN
Anu Verma, RN is an aesthetic nurse specialist at Medspa California. She has successfully performed thousands of treatments in laser hair removal and IPL/Photofacial, fractional lasers and dermabrasion. She has keen interest in administering botox, various dermal fillers, rosacea treatments, acne treatments, leg vein treatments, microneedling and sclerotherapy. She is also fully certified and experienced in doing treatments such as coolsculpting, skin tightening with Titan and Ultherapy and chemical peels
Anu is passionate about client-care and the needs of each individual patient to achieve their aesthetic goals. In the past she has worked as an ICU and open heart nurse at John Muir Medical Center. She has been working in the cosmetic and aesthetic field for the past 19 years.
Anu has a BS and masters in nursing and hospital administration. She is a member of the American Dermatology Nursing association and serves as a trainer for laser companies including Cutera and allergan, and continues to train physicians on cosmetic procedures. She continues to take various courses and continued education programs to stay
knowledgeable on the most modern and competent techniques.The results of her extensive training and experience shows in each and every patient’s face. Anu is a laser specialist that can truly be entrusted with your skincare and anti-aging needs. She is a dynamic, proactive, enthusiastic individual who utilizes her skills, knowledge, energy and passion to provide quality care for patients.
Melinda Brown, Patient Care Coordinator
With over 25 years’ experience in the field of Plastic Surgery, Melinda is a wonderful resource for our patients. Warm, receptive and engaging, she has a sincere interest in patients, their positive experience with our practice and their satisfaction with their surgical result.
Melinda always remembers each patient is special to our practice. Although the field of plastic surgery is her area of expertise, she never forgets this is a unique, individual experience for each person. When patient feedback is given, Melinda is frequently mentioned as one of the
people who made their experience a positive one. In addition to her interest in the Plastic Surgery field, Melinda is a fan of international travel, volunteering with various non-profit organizations, yoga, hiking, juicing, documentaries and spending quality time with family and friends.
